Strive for Five is a different approach to training for a Marathon. The plan is 5 hours per week, every week of training and all runs are Fartlek runs, with a twist. Fartlek literally means "Speed Play" and in this plan, you get to play with the speed to match your goals and abilities. However there are targeted Fartlek Runs in the plan (Hilly Fartlek, Tempo Fartlek and LSD Fartlek) that asks you to focus on each of those specific areas.
