Fleet Feet

In consideration of the foregoing, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns, waive and release any and all rights, claims, and causes of action I have or may have against the Fleet Feet Jackson and its affiliates, their agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, successors and assigns, Fleet Feet Jackson, and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the 2026 St. Jude Half Marathon / Marathon training program and any pre- and post race activities. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and a licensed medical doctor has verified my physical condition. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising, email, and social media without monetary payment to me. (This information is protected by the Privacy Act.).

PARTICIPANT IS AWARE AND UNDERSTANDS THAT TRAINING, RUNNING, WORKING OUT, AND PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT IS EACH A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY AND INVOLVES THE RISK OF INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, OR DAMAGES TO THE PARTICIPANT OR PARTICIPANT’S PROPERTY. PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT PARTICIPANT WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING WHERE PARTICIPANT WILL TRAIN, RUN, WORKOUT, AND OTHERWISE PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT. PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT PARTICIPANT IS VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT WITH AN EXPRESS UNDERSTANDING OF THE DANGER INVOLVED AND HEREBY AGREES TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, AND/OR DAMAGE TO PARTICIPANT OR PARTICIPANT’S PROPERTY, ARISING FROM THE EVENT, TRAINING, RUNNING, OR WORKING OUT OR THE LOCATIONS OF SUCH ACTIVITIES, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES OR OTHERWISE. THE RISKS INCLUDE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONTACT WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS, TRAINING INJURIES, ROAD HAZARDS, VEHICLES, WEATHER, CONTAGIOUS DISEASES LIKE COVID-19, AND TRAFFIC.

In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency arising during the event, Participant hereby authorizes and gives their consent to any medical treatment deemed necessary, in the judgment of the Event Director or any of its designees, for their immediate care. Participant agrees that Participant will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to Participant, including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment, and hospitalization and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any liability associated with the treatment or related expenses.
